I will NEVER go back to this place to do this activity again. I'm not knocking the activity, it was fun, but the person teaching it was not a good teacher, and since that is part of what you are paying for I would suggest that this establishment ensures that whoever is the lead painter actually know how to teach the steps to the students, as well as recognize when they need help. In fact several women who were taking a private class in another room came out to take a group photo and all of their paintings looked great and they all seemed very happy and positive. The entire experience was very frustrating, as this is currently a popular activity and on a regular basis you see people posting awesome pictures they have created. At one point his co-worker (who was very very nice, and walked around the class trying to help all of us as best as she could) provided him with a microphone, but apparently it did not work. In this case this was not a full class, so it was not very loud as mentioned by another reviewer. He would stand in front of his painting so we couldn't see what he was doing, he wouldn't explain very well OR loud enough OR at all. The first 20 minutes he was ok, but after that he was just lousy. However the lead painter was a TERRIBLE teacher. Honestly I could have lived with those things. At one point the lead painter mentioned that she should not be sitting there, but at no point asked her to change seats. There were multiple tables around the room she could have sat in. Several members of our group were either at separate tables and/or could not see very well due to this person doing their own thing in a spot that really should have gone to someone involved in the current project. Second, there was a large girl sitting in a prime spot up front, but was not even doing the same painting as the rest of us. My first issue with this place was that they had us at these tiny little tables with barely enough room for the supplies, never mind an extra drink or plate of food. We were greeted immediately and offered smocks, shown to where we would sit, and advised that drinks and food could be ordered at the bar area.
